It has been a slow couple of months on the writing side. Editing is continuing on Rich Man and I hope to have this finished by the end of the month. I started a couple more novels set in outback Australia which I’m thinking about making part of a series. I’m also going to be planning a novel to write for November’s NaNoWriMo, not sure what it will be about yet, I’ll see how it goes once I put pen to paper in the planning stage.

I finally hit the 20k mark on Friday. So at the moment ‘The Godmother’s Wish’ is on 20,111 words and we hit the black moment. I have to say I didn’t see it coming, I thought I’d have at least another chapter or two before I got to this point. But that’s fine, it happens when it happens. I still have to go back and add a bit to about two scenes. Yes they did a lot of jumping forward last week. That’s cool as well, I can cope with that, I’m calm, in control, well if I keep telling myself that I just may believe it one day. LOL.
Anyway ‘Godmother’ is going on the shelf for a little while so I can get back it my editing. I really need to get some of these novels polished, so from now until June, I’m editing, editing and editing some more. So from the next week you will get updates on ‘We Were In Love’ and ‘If I Were A Rich Man’.
Until then, have a great week and happy writing.

It has really been slow going this week. I had hoped to be at the 20k mark but am only just over the 12k. The upside is I’m learning things about Roman and Lucy. I did an interview with Roman on Let’s Talk Heroes , Lucy is updating on Diary of a Heroine a couple of time each week, at the moment I’ve been writing these entries into the novel, but I’m not sure if I’ll keep them in yet. They are however giving me more of an insight into what Lucy is thinking.
So what has happened in the story. Gladys had a visit from her friend Elsie Russell and enlists Elsie to help her get Roman and Lucy closer together. Little does she know that these two are fighting their feelings for each other. (Okay well Roman is doing the feeling fighting, poor Lucy is just plain confused).
Roman has finally admitted to himself that he finds when he is with Lucy he has a hard time keeping his hands to himself. Lucy on the other hand is finding that she likes the feel of Roman’s hands on her, it’s just his odd behaviour she doesn’t understand. So they have shared their first kiss and it leaves them both with questions and more cold showers for Roman. LOL.

This story opens with a ball Hosted by Lucy Hogan’s Godmother to celebrate Lucy’s return to her home after being in boarding school for the past five years. Lucy must confront her feelings for her Godmother’s Grandson, the dangerously handsome Romanos (Roman) Makris. Roman is surprised by his reaction to seeing Lucy once again. The once shy and chubby girl has grown into a self assured woman with a body many men at the ball eye off with interest.
So where I’m up to now. The ball has finished and Gladys (The Godmother) has had a fall and Lucy had to ring Roman and ask him to return to his Grandmother’s home. After spending hours at the hospital waiting for word on Gladys’ health after the operation on her hip, Roman insists on returning to the house with Lucy and spending the night. Here he has to fight his growing feelings of lust for the young woman he has promised to look after while his Grandmother recovers.
When Lucy can’t sleep she wanders down stair in her nightie to retrieve a book to read and runs into Roman. Her body come alive with a single touch from Roman. Hoping to hide her desire she heads for the library, only to have Roman follow her.
Roman questions whether she knew he was down stairs and her reason for wearing only her skimpy nightie around the house. He soon realizes it is more himself he is angry with than Lucy. Roman ends the night under a cold shower.
Hehehehe, gotta love those cold showers.

Yes I’ve done it again and added another blog to my ever growing sites. Here I’m going to blog about my current work in progress, my editing and re-writing ups and downs.
At the moment I’m working on a novella, the writing is going slow, but I think that is more because of outside dramas rather than the words not flowing. I haven’t written a blurb for this one yet but it is titled ‘The Godmother’s Wish’, hopefully I’ll have a blurb written tomorrow and I’ll add a page to the Works In Progress page.
If you would like to see just who the hero is in this story go to my Heroes Blog, I have a short summary of the hero Romanos Makris and a few photos.
Until next time.
